Buying an appliance? Compare the amount you actually pay, rather than choosing on the strength of a large cashback headline. HDFC Bank currently lists an Acerpure EasyEMI promotion. For an existing eligible cardholder, it is worth putting that quote beside the best full-payment price before making a decision.
What the offer covers
The bank lists 5% cashback up to ₹10,000 on selected Acerpure models, from 1 October to 30 November 2026. The minimum transaction is ₹30,000. Eligible EasyEMI tenures are 3, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 months, with one qualifying transaction per card per month. The listing excludes co-branded cards.
- Confirm the exact model with the store.
- Use the eligible EasyEMI payment route.
- Check the exact HDFC card variant before paying.
What the percentage means for your purchase
As a simple illustration, 5% of a ₹40,000 qualifying purchase is ₹2,000. The ₹10,000 ceiling is not a flat benefit on every appliance: at a 5% rate, reaching that ceiling would require ₹2,00,000 of eligible purchase value. These examples illustrate the arithmetic, not an assurance that either basket will qualify. Your final order must meet the offer terms.
Compare two complete quotes
Write down the same model number, delivery, installation, accessories and total payable under each payment option. Then compare the full-payment price against the EMI quote after its actual cashback and any financing charges. A cheaper sticker price elsewhere can outweigh a larger advertised bank benefit. Do not count the same retailer discount twice when doing this comparison.
Keep the purchase evidence
Before payment, ask the store to show the applicable offer against your exact card and tenure. Keep the written quote, invoice, payment confirmation and offer terms. If a benefit is credited later, set a reminder against the timing in the final terms rather than assuming it will reduce the first instalment. Read the cancellation and refund treatment before committing to the purchase.
