Start with the exact card name and variant. A bank may publish different lounge rules for RuPay, Visa, Mastercard or premium versions of a card.

For airport lounges

For airports, check the eligible lounge, terminal, departure type, number of complimentary visits and any previous-month or previous-quarter spending condition. A lounge program membership does not automatically mean every visit is free.

For railway lounges

For railway stations, check whether the specific IRCTC Executive Lounge participates and whether a valid train ticket and card validation are required. Facilities and paid extras can differ by station.

Check again before travelling

Immediately before travel, check the issuer's current eligible-lounge list and the lounge operator's location and hours. Keep an alternative plan in case the lounge is full, closed or your visit is not eligible.
